Borussia Dortmund winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan has indicated his desire to leave his club for Manchester United through his agent Mino Raiola.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to leave Borussia Dortmund and join Manchester United, says the player’s agent Mkhitaryan, 27, was one of the best players for Dortmund last season, helping them to second place in the Bundesliga and the German Cup final, scoring 23 goals and adding 32 assists in all competitions. The former Liverpool target is keen on a move to Jose Mourinho’s side with his agent suggesting the club is blocking a move. “He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation,” Raiola said. “We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.” United have signed young defender Eric Bailly from Spanish side Villarreal but Mourinho is looking to add attacking reinforcements to his side.
Jose Mourinho Mkhitaryan has informed Dortmund he won’t be extending his contract beyond June 2017, when it is scheduled to expire and he remains determined to force through a move to United. Dortmund have already seen key defender Mats Hummels and influential midfielder Ilkay Gundongan move to Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively this summer. Losing Mkhitaryan would represent another huge blow to Dortmund and boss Thomas Tuchel with the club still set to resist any transfer if at all possible.
