Those saying that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has not achieved anything have never experienced bomb blasts in their areas, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (APC, Sokoto North) said yesterday in Sokoto.
“If those saying so had experienced bomb blasts in their areas, they would know that the APC-led government has really achieved something,” he said.
“Nigerians now go to the markets, pray in the mosques and have peaceful gatherings without apprehension, without any fear of impending bomb blast.”
Wamakko stated this while starting the APC campaign for the Sokoto State House of Assembly by-election for Tureta Constituency.
The election is slated for August 20.
He said that attainment of peace was necessary for economic and political prosperity of nations.
